The formidable India cricket squad has had an outbound performance in the limited-overs in South Africa. What next, the unrelenting focus is now on the 2018 Nidahas Trophy. Sri Lanka will play host to this much-anticipated T201 Tri-series, with the third opponent placed at Bangladesh. From 6th to 18 March will see 7 matches on display, three teams playing each other twice. Much significance is put on the tournament’s celebration of the 70th anniversary of the independence of the host Sri Lanka.

Tournament Format:
The organizers of the tournament have preferred a round-robin format. This follows that the three teams, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will play each other twice. Giving merit of points, the best two teams will battle on 18th to mark the final match of the tournament. Before the tournament, a warm-up game is scheduled for Bangladesh. However, India does not have such an arrangement. The confidence the Indian squad has in its ability was also shown in South African tour recently, where the team never had a warm-up game.
Timeline:
The timeline of all the scheduled matches has a one day gap. The curtain raiser on Match 6th will be the host Sri Lanka against India.
